adventure-platform "cloud 7" for Deutsche Lufthansa AG A circular platform measuring 8 m in diameter and around 3 m above ground level takes visitors on a "virtual flight" through the history of Germany's largest airline as a highlight of the Deutsche Lufthansa AG stand at the EXPO 2000. The platform should move in all degrees of freedom (rotating, tumbling, upward and downward) to arouse typical in-flight sensations among the trade fair visitors. Supplementary media systems and airstream provided by fans, as well as a parachute opening above the platform should give rise to further associations.	click for animation

Viag Interkom at Cebit / Hannover Viag Interkom also continued its piazza theme at the CEBIT / Hannover. This time it was focussed around 4 full-length LED panels fitted onto heavy-duty turntables that were integrated into the floor. Viag Interkom was awarded the Gold 1st Prize of the IF Exhibition Design Award. The 4 turntables were interlinked via an external control system to ensure synchronised rotation of the LED panels. The load applied to each turntable varied according to the number of people visiting the different parts of the stand, so a controller was installed that compares reference and actual values continuously by means of a displacement encoding system and adjusts the drives immediately on the basis of the results. 185 mm deep, the load-bearing capacity needed for each turntable amounted to 4500 kg.

world-premiere of Toyota Yaris / Salon d`automobil Geneve The vehicle is in a pit measuring 4 x 4 m and approx. 2.5 m deep at the beginning of the presentation and is not visible to the audience. Three horizontally traversing blocks hide the inside of the "volcano" from the viewer. Several plasma screens are fitted on the top surfaces of the blocks. These blocks travel under the platform to reveal the vehicle, which is then raised with the turntable until it is level with the audience. The period that elapsed between order placement and assembly in Geneva amounted to approx. 5 weeks	click for animation
